Course information


The twelve-week IELTS Preparation course contains a wide range of activities aimed at improving participants’ English and developing the language and skills needed to improve their band score.

As well as providing thorough exam practice in Speaking, Listening, Reading and Writing, particular attention is also paid to help students develop their confidence with English grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation.

¿Qué variedades de IELTS hay?


General Training: orientado a candidatos que quieren obtener visados por motivos profesionales o personales por motivos de migración.


Academic Trainingpara candidatos que quieren realizar estudios universitarios en el extranjero.


 


¿Cuál es el formato del examen?


IELTS esta dividido en las siguientes secciones:


 



  • Comprensión auditiva (30 minutos) *

  • Comprensión lectora (60 minutos) *

  • Expresión escrita (60 minutos) *

  • Expresión oral (11-14 minutos)


* Estas tres secciones se hacen en el mismo día. El examen oral se hace en un segundo día


 


¿Cuál es la diferencia entre IELTS, TOEFL y los exámenes de Cambridge?


Cambridge tiene un examen particular para cada nivel, de A2 a C2. IELTS se basa en el conocimiento de inglés del candidato para ofrecer un resultado total y para cada una de sus cuatro secciones. TOEFL es parecido a IELTS pero se dirige mas hacia EEUU mientras que IELTS tiene mayor reconocimiento internacional.


 


¿A qué nivel es aconsejable tomar un curso de preparación para el examen?


Para poder completar IELTS con cierta holgura y comodidad seria aconsejable, aunque no imprescindible, tener al menos un nivel de ingles Intermedio (B1+).


 


¿Cuánto se tarda en recibir los resultados?


Estos salen generalmente trece días después del día del examen.


 


¿Tiene el examen fecha de caducidad?


No, no tiene ninguna fecha de caducidad.


 


¿Cuál es el precio para registrarse para el examen?


Ambas versiones, Academic y General Training, tienen un precio global estándar de 216 euros.
